During the Great Freeze of the winter of 1890 – 1891, a minimum temperature of up to -22oC was recorded in the villages of the Pyrenees. In the last 125 years there has not been a cold wave that has exceeded these values.

A year earlier, Enric, a seven-year-old boy, receives an unexpected visit in the middle of a winter night. This event will be etched in the child’s mind and in family Christmas traditions ever since.
